Please pray that Alabama will finally get--and maintain--a decent public transportation system that will enable visually impaired people, as well as others with physical challenges to get to jobs, and travel further with ease.
The last time they came close was in the 1990s.Their response to the 1955 Bus Boycott was to do away with the public transportation system altogether, and there are still many racial undertones as to why the situation in Montgomery hasn't improved. The situation in Birmingham, Alabama is much better.
The state that honors the dead and blind Helen Keller as its heroine should have long since had a capitol city that is accommodating of the visually and physically challenged. Perhaps your prayers can influence their finally doing the right thing. Thank you and God bless you.
