Lord Jesus, You are the one coming to baptize with the Spirit and fire. We desire to be Your faithful follower, not just a religious person. Help us to shave away shame, sort through our sin, and simmer down selfishness so we can celebrate You fully. Use our lives to point others to You, as Your kingdom draws near. Make us a light in this world, showing Your mercy and truth, with that said “God, we can't do this on our own. We need You to do a deep work in each of us as you see fit. We confess our insufficiencies and our fear. Help us to die to our self and be raised to new life in You, just as we were buried in baptism. Help weave our lives into Your good tapestry. We pray for the grace to always be open to Your voice and to follow the path You lay out. Protect my family from all unseen and seen dangers here in this world, and give them good health, peace and love to share with their friends and those they meet. Grant us a loving and forgiving hearts.
